Skittles are a hard, somewhat disgusting, tasteless tofu that originiated in Japan when a man named Luvdat Sushi started developing it by "putting strange, somewhat disgusting items into people's food (sushi, because that's all people eat there)".
And so that's how skittles became popular across America, Britain, Canada, and that's it.
Etymology[]
The word skittles in Latin/Greek/whatever means girl-scout fatty, so no one really knows why the Skittles brand chose that name. Maybe they think little fat girl scouts are hot?
