In the End is a song by wannabe-cool emo band Linkin Park, released back in 2001, when the 9/11 events stuff was happening and everyone was freaking out about it (in America, anyway).
It was released off of their first album, Hybrid Theory, and was their only successful single off of it. It was actually their most successful single to date, reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively, of course.
